Katrina and Deepika too tall for Aamir and Shahid? Amitabh Bachchan has the best solution!

Amitabh Bachchan is quite active on social media, and never holds back from sharing his opinions and comments. This time, the veteran actor shared a picture of a news piece on how the leading ladies of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif are too tall for actors like Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor. Bachchan has a solution for this- his job application.

Bachchan wrote, “Job Application: Amitabh Bachchan DOB 11.10.1942 .. age 76 .. 49 yrs experience in films .. approx 200 films acted .. speaks Hindi .. HEIGHT 6’2” .. available .. You shall never have height problem !!” Big B has earlier worked with Deepika in Piku, and is now working with Katrina in Thugs of Hindostan.

For the uninitiated, during the making of Padmaavat, as Shahid was Deepika’s romantic interest, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to ensure that Shahid didn’t look shorter than her.

Yes, you read that right! He had to make Shahid Kapoor look tall, if not taller, than Deepika. According to a source, “It was an ongoing problem during the shooting. Shahid was playing the King and Deepika was playing the Queen. He couldn’t possibly look shorter than her on screen. It would have gone against royal protocol. Bhansali and the unit had to constantly fudge Shahid’s height to make him look as tall.”

Aamir Khan is facing the same problem in Thugs of Hindostan. A source close to the sets told Mumbai Age, “Katrina is way too tall for Aamir’s height. There is a constant stress on the sets to ensure they look equally matched on screen.”

This has been a chronic problem in Bollywood. When Tabu used to work with heroes, who were slightly shorter than her, she had to slouch constantly on screen.
