The final GOT season
HBO is said to be planning an extended production for the final season and that filming will start in October and run until August 2018.

The usual time we waited for the new season to come used to a year’s time but now we have to be more patient. The production of the show are trying to figure out how to bring Daenarys, Jon Snow and Cersei back as soon as possible but there is just too much work.

“The shooting is complicated enough — on different continents, with all the technical aspects — and the special effects are a whole other production period that we’re trying to figure out. That is a big factor in all of this.” said HBO’S President of Programming, Casey Bloys.

The season will consist of 6 episodes but they will be longer than usual and each episode of the new season is budgeted to cost at least $15 million.

According to Bloys, they will shoot several different endings to combat hackers, so that nobody really knows how the series will end. What we know for sure, the plot will revolve around The Great War and the ultimate battle between the living and the dead.

The last episode full of surprises
The final episode of the season seven really threw us off our feet.

There were a few surprises. Littlefinger is finally out of the show since he came to grisly end at the hands of the Stark sisters. Sansa finally learnt her lesson and Aria cut his throat. Cersei and Tyrion Lannister seem to have plotted behind the closed door while Jamie left King’s Landing and headed North to honor his pledge.

We also found out that Jon Snow is actually a Targaryen, that his real name is Aegon and that he is the real heir to the Iron Throne.

Since John is the real son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, due to the line of succession John is the rightful heir and Daenerys is his aunt. The Night King and the White Walkers are closer than ever thanks to the Ice Dragon that breached the Wall.

The final season will definitely be a long-anticipated must see of the year.
