Celeb Community Buzzes As Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber Reconnect

All major magazines and TV stations are buzzing these days about the two young stars reconnecting again and mending fences but, unfortunately for their fans, not romantically.

Singer Selena Gomez (L) and musician Justin Bieber attend the 2011 Teen Choice Awards at Gibson Universal Amphitheatre on August 7, 2011 in Universal City, California.

Bieber’s Concern about Selena
A source close to the ex-couple explained that Bieber freaked out when he heard that Selena was to undergo a major surgery of kidney transplant this summer and reached out to her.

The two reunited during a group get-together at her house in Los Angeles and mend fences. Justin is trying to be supportive and helpful in her ongoing fight with lupus and they have a great, friendly relationship. Selena is currently dating the Weeknd, who is on the road with his ongoing tour, but he has complete understanding for the situation at the time.

This new supportive friendship between Justin and Selena comes three years after their loud and stormy break-up and they are now both trying to make peace. They socialize with mutual friends and see each other at church. Bieber is a known member of Hillsong Church and is friend with Judah Smith, who conducts services every weekend in Los Angeles and attracts young celebrities like Selena Gomez.

The Illness
Gomez first talked about her diagnosis back in 2015 and in September, but also shared the news on Instagram about her surgery. S

he opened up in details in an interview on NBC’s Today about her kidney transplant. She explained that her kidneys failed due to her long fight with Lupus and she needed the transplant. It was a matter of life or death. She thanked her 29-year-old friend Francia Raisa for giving her the kidney and saving her life.

“There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me,” Gomez wrote. “I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”

She also said she hadn’t been promoting her new music over the summer because of the recovery but that she is extremely proud of her new album.

The full interview will be aired on October 31 and for more information about lupus, you can visit a platform Selena uses to educate others on this illness.
